Extremadura counts on not only natural, but also, cultural resources, Mérida is a great place to visit because it has an important past. It is the capital of Extremadura, and in 1993 it was declared World Heritage City by UNESCO.
From the natural point of view, Mérida has several beautiful parks, one of them is "7 sillas", this is, "7 chairs". Another natural resource is the famous Guadiana´s River, where you can practice fishing or canoeing.
We count on several important cultural resources: Roman buildings, for example, Theatre, Amphitheatre, Aqueduct, bridges, and so on. And the Roman Art National Museum.

5. Promotional tools: we promote Mérida with a lot of tools: leaflets, brochures, souvenirs (in shops of Mérida)... so, we attract more tourists.
The type of tourist that we receive is very different, they are from children to old people; with low and high purchasing power.
They come from over the world, nationaly, from Andalusia, Catalonia... and, internationaly, from Great Britain, Germany...
